Never a dull moment...

So Ashtyn has kidney stones. Really big ones, according to daycare. After coming in from the playground this afternoon, it was discovered by changing her diaper that either she has the biggest kidney stones you've ever seen (and lots of them) or she was smuggling pea gravel in her diaper. Never know when you might need some pea gravel, ya know?!

And potty training is a nightmare. Ashtyn, my wonderful baby, is so strong willed and has it in her mind that the potty is no fun. So I emailed my underwriting service assistant today for advice. Her son is the same age as Ashtyn, and I thought she might be able to help. She said her babysitter is working with her son and taught her two children to set on the potty by bribing them with jellybeans. Ashtyn loves M&Ms so this seemed like a good idea. So we tried that tonight. She actually set there for 5 minutes, and even sat there when I ran out of M&Ms (only grabbed 3 as I really didn't think it would work) and ran to the kitchen to get more.

While she was sitting on her potty, I sat on the tub side and explained to her by pointing to her potty "This is were Ashtyn potties. This is where Ashtyn poops and pees." Not so much, I'm about to learn. She points to the bathtub and matter of factly states "No, that is where I potty." Guess she taught me something.

Like I said... never a dull moment...

Don't stress about potty training. Emma was 3 before she was potty trained completely. She will when she is ready and I promise it will be before Kindergarten~
