Aaaaa... the joys of parenting.

As a norm Ashtyn was peeing in the potty except for about one accident a day, but always pooped in her pull-up/panties. Now, she's peeing a few times a day in her pull-ups/panties and completely pooping in the potty. What gives?! (lol) I have no clue why she switched. Thankfully, she is still peeing in the potty some so we're making some good progress!!! I'll take it!!!

Today she let me know about her runny nose in a whole new light. Before, she would just say My nose! and point to it with a cocked eyebrow and a little bit of attitude. But today... Mom. My nose, it fell off! See? It fell off! I just love her explanations!!!

A few of her favorite things right now:

* The Tim Burton movie Coraline, which she picked up from lines in the movie to ask for it as Care-line Jones. It's a little scary near the end, but this child loves scary stuff and thrills. Plus, we've learned to watch right up to the scary part and start over at the beginning so we don't ever watch the end! =)

*She's obsessed with snakes. She has been going around the house for months now, hushing us Shhh... I hear a snake! You hear that? I hear a snake. Her school reviewed the letter "R" last week. A rattlesnake was part of the "Things that begin with R" lesson. This has only made the obsession worse. We have to have the snake paper with us at all times. She draws snakes. She eats snake (steak). It's so strange!

*Stootshi, or at least that's her way of saying the word sushi. She loves to go out to eat the rice, soup, hibachi chicken or snake, and stootshi rolls (never anything raw). She always has to have her own chopsticks. She loves making friends with the chefs and I think they really enjoy her too. I can only imagine it must be strange for them to see someone so young who really loves that kind of food! We miss Fuji in Jonesboro - awesome food, they knew us, and knew that Ashtyn was going to be part of the show! Jerry, maybe one day Ashtyn will teach you what kind of "rolls" to order!!!

Quick other favorites : Almin & the Munkchips, princess or fairy stuff, Kung Foob Pinda, the movie Temple Grandin because of the cows, counting, drawing on daddy's back, matching games, Phineas & Ferb, her daycare (no more crying!!!), and talking on the phone with Gimmi and PawPaw.
