Mom and Dad came Saturday for their first overnight visit. They got here late Saturday afternoon, just in time to see the cops putting the pressure on our midnight neighbors. The Bartlett police camped out in a car for an hour or two right across the street from their house. Seeing as there are only four houses on our street, only three occupied, it was pretty obvious what they were doing here. Yay for police!!! It didn't stop the neighbors completely; just slowed them down. They still had some "traffic" in and out of the house. They have more "visitors" than any other neighbor I've ever had.
And Ashtyn couldn't believe her eyes... here's Grammi and PawPaw and a whole new wardrobe coming through the door. Mom has hit the consignment sales lately and went crazy!! She had some great finds!!! A taco salad, ice cream, and lots of laughs later we all headed to bed with Ashtyn tucked between her Grammi & PawPaw for the night. My dad was tickling and teasing Ashtyn, so she asked my mom "Can you make him stop?" Mom reached over and popped Dad's hand. Ashtyn didn't like that either because she told Mom "You be nice!"
Sunday we ventured to Jimmy John's to pick up some sandwiches for lunch. On the way back to the house, Bruce drove by his office. I asked Ashtyn to tell Grammi and PawPaw what that building is, pointing to his depot. Without any hesitation, she jumped in "That's Daddy's house!"
Honey, as if I don't say it enough, I think this is proof that we think you need to be home a little more often!!
