Happy Thanksgiving!

I had this nice little blog all figured out, and then couldn't figure out how to post from my Droid. Only the title would appear. So here it goes a few days later...

Happy Thanksgiving to our wonderful family and friends! We're so thankful to have you all in our lives! Each and every one of you!

Our Thanksgiving lunch was spent at Grandma AnnaLee's in Manila, with Grandma Wright coming over from Leachville. The cousins (Ash, Cort, and Cal) were rowdy and cute as ever! The food was delicious, but I love spending time with Bruce's family. They've always treated me like one of them (probably because there are so many, they don't realize I'm not an original member) and for that I have truly lucked out! Then, on to Bay for Thanksgiving supper with Grammi and PawPaw and a "jamas" party. Can you believe that it was Bruce then me that crashed first?! Ashtyn had to check on Grammi's boo-boos several times. She even remembered that there were four boo-boos so showing her just one wasn't good enough. Ashtyn always sleeps with my parents when we stay the night or vice versa. My parents had to get up early and head to work so we slept in. When I went to check on her the next morning, she sat up and told me that she slept the best last night. Love that!

We finally got up on Black Friday for some after lunch shopping, but only after a trip to TaMolly's. YUM! We got a few good deals, and most of our stuff bought. Ashtyn got to see Santa at the mall and did so very good. She whispered to him that she wanted a mermaid Barbie for Christmas, and that's all. He made sure to repeat so we could hear. Yep, it's in the top of the closet as I type. Along with a Barbie convertible and some new outfits for her Barbies.

Last night, I was telling Bruce that Ashtyn is possibly getting a B-a-r-b-i-e h-o-u-s-e from my D-a-d for Christmas. Bruce asked if it was going to have a g-a-r-a-g-e for the B-a-r-b-i-e c-a-r that the big fat red guy is bringing. Ashtyn chimed in "Yeah, it's gonna have a d-w, too!" So she can't spell yet but I'm impressed that she understood what was going on!

Today, I'm really hoping to get the tree up. Might have happened last night except it's buried in a pile of boxes in the garage. We found two boxes of ornaments and decorations, but that's all I could unpile. Time to get Bruce up! ;)
