We weren't expecting the 104.4* spike on Saturday night. Like to have scared us silly. She was sleeping in our room. We went to check on her just about 11pm as we weren't quite ready to go to bed yet, and found her sweetly smiling and mumbling in her sleep. Upon closer inspection, she was shivering, actually kind of gasping, and burning to the touch. So she and I jumped in a cool bath, her climbing me the whole time, while Bruce gave her Motrin. Called to get Mom's advice on when to go to the ER. Doesn't matter how old you get, you still need your Momi. Three hours later, fever is steady just under 102* and I finally get to relax a little. Spent the night setting alarms to make sure she got Tylenol on time, fighting her to take it each time, waiting until the fever lowered then dozing off for a few minutes until next dose.

Today, she's been between 100-102 but we've added a green runny nose, runny eyes, refusal to eat, swollen face, red-lined black-circled eyes, and fatigue. We thought a trip to Zaxby's for her favorite fries and some chicken would do it. Nah. She had two bites of chicken, a fry, and she was done.
So I did what the doctor's office said. I waited until Monday and we're going to the doctor tomorrow!!! As for this moment, she's at 98.2* and resting peacefully but you can see it in her eyes that she feels awful. We watched Memo and Shrek the Halls earlier trying to get a little life in her. She perked up a little, but she's just so pitiful. I wish I could just take it for her.Hopefully though, a better night for all tonight.
