Memphis drivers - it's not their fault!!!

I've decided this morning that it's no wonder most Memphis motorists drive like they're in the last lap of the Indy 500.

Every morning I come to this one particular stoplight headed to Ashtyn's daycare. Most of the time, I'm the first car at the light. And every morning, I gun it when the light turns green to make a left turn, because that stupid light turns yellow before I (the FIRST car) even get halfway through the intersection.

At first I thought it was just this light, with a four lane road crossing a six lane highway. But the longer I live here, the more I find! I'm dumbfounded that so many lights here turn yellow before the first car gets to the other side of the intersection! It's so frustrating.

So it dawns on me, no wonder Memphians drive crazy and cops don't do a thing. Drivers are being conditioned by the lights to floor-it, get out in the middle of the intersection, run the light, or set forever. It's not their fault!!!

That's my two cents for the day. Might as well just let Ashtyn drive from now on...
