Then the dash continues to Nana's house in Manila for another small Easter birthday celebration. We had lots of fun seeing Ashtyn's great grandmothers, Nana, aunts and cousins! The only downside to the day... Ashtyn's first encounter with a trampoline turned out to be a bad one for her knee. She has her first serious injury. This morning the doctor said that she doesn't have strong enough symptoms to determine if it's a fracture, a torn ligament, or a bad sprain. We're giving her knee another day or so to see if it gets any better or if the symptoms line up with one of the possibilities. The biggest worry is that she absolutely cannot and will not put any pressure on that leg and therefore can't walk. For Ashtyn, this is a VERY unusual change in pace... for a girl who never stops to be sidelined and on the couch!?! I think she really enjoys the part where Momma and Dadee are waiting on her and carrying her everywhere!
Ashtyn's sweet aunts took turns cuddling with her (which she loved), and then pulled out Cort and Cal's wagon to make sure she still was able to hunt eggs with her cousins, in style...
