Last weekend, after all the sirens finally stopped, we picked up Ashtyn's birthday present from Grammi & PawPaw and got started. We're trying to have it up and ready for her birthday next weekend. Bruce is having to work some really long and crazy hours so we run out there to build any time he has a few minutes! And I mean ANY TIME. We're starting to act a little bit like the "midnights"....
Each of us has our own job. Bruce does the actual construction. I help sort the labeled pieces, read instructions, keep Ashtyn occupied, etc. Basically, I'm the do-nothing contractor and Bruce is the hard-working subcontractor. Ashtyn is in charge of putting the screws into the pre-drilled holes and helping me thread the bolts and washers as needed. Here's a few pictures of her hard at work!!!
