One crazy, fun month

We've had a lot of fun over the last couple of weeks! It has been super busy and filled with tons of firsts for our family and Ashtyn. She went bowling for her first time and had a blast. Here she's passing time between rolls chatting with Glenn.
We took Ashtyn to the Memphis Zoo Lights, which I can say is a must! She looked so tiny up against the light displays. This tree was amazing! Our first stop was the lodge for some pizza and funnel cake! Mmmm! Next we headed ice skating where we all three ice skated for the first time. We had to wait in line for what seemed an hour, but it was worth it! Bruce skated like a pro, I kept myself upright, and Ashtyn fell...and fell... and fell... We made a quick trip through the Northwest Passage to get a quick glimpse of Santa and "Grandma Santa", and then took the tram to the farm. I think Ashtyn screamed "Merry Christmas!" at every person we saw the whole way there. Including the people on the tram with us! It was really just too cute, but I'm kind of partial!! At the farm, we saw our first live reindeer - Dasher and Dancer were there visiting from the North Pole. I think I was way more excited than the kids.

We did a little Christmas shopping where Ashtyn picked this number out for Grammi and PawPaw. "I think Grammi and PawPaw would like this!" If only I knew what she was truly thinking!
This past Sunday my parents came over to have Christmas at our house and open presents. Grammi, PawPaw, and Ashtyn had a great time making her first gingerbread house.

Then opening presents...

We took time out for lunch, and got down to business...playing with Ashtyn's new toys from Grammi and PawPaw!

Last night we took it kind of easy and wrapped more gifts (almost done now), but tonight I have somehow made it my mission to update the blog and bake 12 dozen cookies. At the same time. We'll see how both turn out. I have my doubts at the moment. =)

We wish everyone a very blessed Christmas and safe travels!

Merry Christmas!!!
