Ashtyn's party... and we lived to tell about it!

For Ashtyn's birthday on Friday, Bruce came home a little earlier than he'd normally work. We headed out for a late supper to try Saito for supper. Verdict - eh. Good sushi and an entertaining cook, but not that great and the restaurant itself lacked a bit. We came home and had "cake-cakes" for dessert and put the little cranky birthday girl to sleep for the night.

Today was Ashtyn's party and she woke up in a great mood! The rain held off, but the sun showed no mercy. It was hot. It was really stinkin' hot. And humid. It seems that me and my mother ended up with nasty sunburns. Thankfully, this is something else Ashtyn took from Bruce. Ashtyn's skin is already just a shade darker than this morning.

We had family from Arkansas, an aunt from Cordova, and the neighbors across the street over for some pizza and cake. The only thing that could've made her party better was if it was not so dang humid.

Everyone has made it home; Bruce's family welcomed into town with tornado sirens. Sorry girls!!! It's starting to thunder a little here. Ashtyn is busy trying to pop the left over balloons. Bruce is out cold. And I'm trying to get this done before I pass out as well! Here are the pictures from today's party...

(Maybe next time I can sneak a picture of Haven.... Tweens..... Need I say more?)
